Everybody share your thoughts! My favourite Indian dish is not really a dish, but rather an Indian snack: samosa!

Each state in India has it’s own special dishes. My personal favorite is Bengali dishes. I love the tastes, the wide variety of choices, and many different kinds of spices from mild to hot. It is exotic and always delicious. I like more variety, trying recipies from different regions too.

Actually Veena, you know something, there is a variety in food in the Bengal region. We, the Bengalees can make dishes from everything, such as some parts of vegetables, which, we just throw them to dustbin. Even we use the peel of “BOTTLE-GOURD” also. There are many such things, which we can use to make varieties dishes. What do you say?

I tried saag chicken a couple days ago and it was delicious! Chicken vindaloo is also awesome, there’s such a variety of spices swirling within that dish. I also love naan bread. Does anyone have a tried-and-tested recipe for naan? Is it absolutely necessary to make it in a clay oven or is there a way around it?

I like chicken tikka masala. I hope I got the spelling right.

I also love Indian deserts. One is the “rasogolla” which is absolutely sumptuous. I tried the “Shahi Tukda” once. I think it means Royal Piece. It was truly delightful, I woudn’t have guessed that it was made from bread.

Though the dishes all over the India taste good, but being a bengali I like the prawn with coconut and hilsa fish with mustard paste most. It gives me the feeling of being a bengali.

Indian dishes are a nice blend of various spices. I have a lot of favourites among them and the dish that keeps me finger licking is curd rice, that too with some hot mango pickle. I just luv it. mmmm
