Modern science has shown that garlic is a great natural antibiotic. There have also been numerous studies on the benefits of garlic on the cardiovascular (heart) system. A Czech study found garlic helped to reduce the accumulation of cholesterol on the vascular walls of animals.

I heard that garlic is best when it’s eaten raw as opposed to cooked, so that you keep some of the nutrients in it – but I’m not sure. And if there are ever any vampires around, I’ll be sure to have some garlic handy! :)
