MURG KALI MIRCH




Punjab is a northen state of India and is very popular for its rich food. This recipie is one of the gem of Punjabi cooking. I hope you will like it.


INGREDIENTS:

Salt to taste

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 kg chicken

25-30 peppercorns

3/4 cup tomatoes chopped

1/2 cup onion sliced

1 tblspn corinder powder

6-8 cloves

8-10 curry leaves

2 tsp garlic chopped

3 tblspn oil


DIRECTION:


1. Clean, wash, and skin the chicken.

2. Cut into pieces.

3. Peppercorn to a coarse powder.

4. Mix salt, crushed peppercorns and turmeric powder with the chicken pieces.

5. Keep aside for half an hour.

6. Heat up oil in a pan.

7. Put some cloves.

8. Stir fry some sliced onions on medium heat till onions are light brown.

9. Add garlic, corinder powder, and tomatoes.

10. Stir fry till oil leaves the sides.

11. Put marinated chicken, curry leaves and half cup of water.

12. Stir fry covered, stirring occasionally, till chicken is cooked.

13. Serve hot.
